NOTICES  February 12, 2018

Please have a look at the new improved version of the Annual Report.  The last version was just a TAD crooked when it scanned. I`ve also attached the 2019 Budget and 2018 Income Statements too!     

CANCELLED  NEWCOMERS SOCIAL at Mary Holte’s.  Wednesday,  Feb. 13th; 5-7pm.  A chance to enjoy tasty nibblies and the opportunity to get to know the other folks in the parish better!  We haven’t heard from anyone yet…. Please let Kat know if you are planning to attend so we can plan appropriately.  

CANCELLED – HUB LUNCH tomorrow Feb. 13.  Includes Bible Study & Choir too!   

Coming up in FEBRUARY:

Sunday, February 17th after the 10am service – St. Mary’s Annual Vestry Meeting (AVM).  A simple lunch will be provided.

Monday Feb. 18; 4-6pm  - Community Dinner.  A real treat this month for all those lamb lovers.  Plus chicken too  if that tickles your fancy!  

Tuesday, February 19th 10:30 – Journey Through Lent - What will be your Lenten intention and action this year? Come and discuss what support you would like in your Lenten journey this year and we (Trefor and Selinde) will create a Lenten series for the 6 Tuesday mornings at 10:30am in Lent based on what we discuss. |

Wednesday Feb. 20th  12:30 Wardens’ meeting.

Plus at  1:30 pm Tumaini Crafters meet and

on Saturday Feb. 23 there is a Tumaini Board meeting 12-3pm  

Monday Feb. 25; 1:30pm  World Day of Prayer Practice in the church and baking at 9:30 am in the kitchen for the meat pies!  

Coming in MARCH:

Friday, March 1st, 2-4pm – World Day of Prayer – here at St. Mary’s this year! Mark your calendar and plan to attend.  We still need volunteers so if you are interested in serving contact Mary Holte.  If interested in helping with the food component please see Rita Gibson.  

Tuesday March 5th   -  Shrove Tuesday. Pancake lunch. YUM!!   

Wednesday March 13th; 1pm “What Gives you JOY” workshop with Mary Holte.  

OTHER

The next yard sale and bottle drive is fast approaching.  Please bring your recyclables or treasures destined for donation anytime now.                                                                                                                                                                                                                      We are seeking a coordinator for the 2019 Christmas Fair.  See Sue Godfreyson, Rita Gibson or Marrianna Westinghouse as they have all the answers!   

We need one more floor lamp for our monthly Community Dinners. If you have one to donate, please bring to the office. Thank you!  

Parish Council is looking for someone to assist our Treasurer Jennifer Birchall-Creighton in a limited capacity doing the following:

1.       Oversee data inputting

2.       Do bank deposits 2-4 times per month

3.       Reconcile the bank statements 4.      

Print out the monthly financial statement for the Parish Council meeting We imagine the work will take no more than 4 hours/month..  Please let one of the Wardens or Selinde know if you are interested in helping out this way. Thank you!!
