Wardens’ Update: Before Selinde went on leave, she appointed Marg Denny as Deputy Warden to work with Elaine and Val. At a ZOOM meeting on Wednesday with Rev. Clara Plamondon (Territorial Archdeacon), Rev. Barry Foster (Diocese Executive Officer), Elaine, Val and Marg, it was concluded there WILL NOT be an Interim Priest. Clara and Barry will provide a roster of priests who are willing to do a weekly video sermon. It was felt that it is important to continue to record a short service in the church.
If for any reason we are unable to make a recording or have a sermon, the parishioners are encouraged to watch a livestream service https://www.stpaulsnanaimo.ca/live at St Paul’s in Nanaimo on Sundays @10.30am. The recorded sermon will be sent as a separate part along with the St. Mary’s service for viewing on Sundays. The Wardens will be having further meetings with Clara and Barry to discuss Lent and our AVM on ZOOM. Please pray for good health and wellness for our dear Selinde.

And your chuckle for today...
Two little boys were known troublemakers, stealing everything they could get their hands on, even from the church. One day a priest stopped one of the boys and asked, "Where is God?" The boy shrugged and the priest repeated, "Where is God?" The boy ran out of the church, crying, to his home where he hid in a closet. Eventually his brother found him and asked, "What's wrong?" The crying boy replied, "We're in trouble now! God is missing and they think we took him!"
