Check out the bulletin board by Selinde’s office to learn about the generous Whitehead bequest, of which St. Mary’s is the recipient.

In preparation for summer, we need to clean up the side yard/playground area. Toys need to be culled, weeds wacked, and picnic tables cleaned. If you have half an hour to come with a friend and tackle part of the job.  Selinde & KAT will  “do their time” on Tuesday. Come join in if you can! Thank you! 

The green ALTAR flowers sheet outside Selinde’s office  is looking a little “naked”.  Please consider donating flowers for that special someone or event.

June Jumble “Jems” Sale – an extraordinary Treasure Trove and Fun Day at St. Mary’s in the parking lot - SATURDAY JUNE 1; 9:00 – 2:00pm. As you do your Spring Cleaning, please consider contributing what you don’t need to St. Mary’s!  No clothing this time, please. There will be a plant sale so as you are dividing bulbs and planting starts, please put some aside for us. Marrianna and Sue Godfreyson have graciously offered to co-chair the event so if you have questions, please talk to them.  Sign-up sheets for volunteer jobs in the Hall this Sunday

Brighten up your home! SOMETHING NEW.  On the rare occasion when the altar flowers have nowhere to go, we will offer them for sale in the Hall after Sunday service. The money will go to new vases and other needs of that ministry.  Suggested donation:  $15.00.   Please make cheque payable to  St. Mary’s or put cash in the envelope provided.  Thank you!

How can we reduce unwanted behaviours in people living with dementia?  Come and find out at the upcoming FAMILY CAREGIVER SERIES hosted here at St. Mary’s June 13 – July 11 (5 Thursday evenings). Free.  Pre-register. See poster in the Hall. Tell your friends and neighbours. St. Mary’s  is providing a light supper at 6pm.

Meet other folks in the Cowichan-Malaspina Region, find out what’s important to them, how they are expressing the 3 parts of the Diocesan Vision: Faith in Foundation, Faith in Formation, and Faith in Action. And then hear from the Bishop himself about Transforming Futures: a plan to fuel the Vision into the years to come. Every parish in the Diocese will participate so come and get informed!  Selinde would like to hear from a couple of people willing to help with hospitality. Thank you!
