I was born in Christchurch, New Zealand immigrating to Canada in 1990 with my husband. We gold mined in the Yukon and settled in the North Qualicum Beach. Later I settled on an acreage in Nanoose Bay. I have 7 grandchildren with whom I love to spend time.
I became a member of St Mary's in 2010 and after volunteering on the Flower Guild, eventually I took on the position of Flower Coordinator. In January 2016, I initiated the free monthly Community Dinner and currently we are serving meals to approximately 100 guests each month. I take care of the Wayside Pulpit sign and am a member of the Hymn Sing group. I was honoured to be asked by our priest Rev. Selinde Krayenhoff to be the Rector's Warden in October 2016. I find the position very rewarding, and it is a lot of fun to work with Selinde.
At home I run a small Bed and Breakfast, have a flock of chickens and enjoy my Golden Retriever, 2 Boer Goats, and my cats.
