From the Rector's Desk

While I can’t speak for you, to me, it feels like these last few weeks have certainly felt like summer is finally arriving. The days are getting warmer, my roses are finally blooming, and the busyness of spring is winding down into the slower days of summer. However, summertime is also the season when many people plan vacations – time away in beautiful places, time away with family and friends, or in my case - time away with dinosaurs!

So my friends, this year I am kicking off the vacation season with some much-needed time off after a very busy spring, and will be out of the office from Tuesday, June 18th and returning Wednesday July 3rd. And as hinted at, Cris and I will be heading to Alberta to do some touring around, including some time in Drumheller exploring the Badlands and checking out the dinosaurs! While I am away, our trusty Wardens will have everything under control: Marg will be the main contact for the daycare; Jean will be the contact for the office and services, and Mary will be the contact for any pastoral emergencies. As for Sunday services, I am so pleased that our dear friend, Rev. Alan Naylor has agreed to be with you while I’m away. Alan is really looking forward to being back with you all, and I know that you will welcome him back with open arms on June 23rd.

Blessings to you all as we settle into summer. Be assured of my continued prayers, even while I am away, as you are all never far from my heart and mind.

Peace,

Kirsten +
