Selinde is gone on holidays again until Tuesday, September 3. If you have a pastoral emergency or concern or if you have a prayer request, please contact your People’s Warden, Val Davies. Cindy is also on holidays until mid-September.

The We Together Conference at St Paul’s in Nanaimo this year is DESPERATE FOR BILLETS.  They are looking for 1 night for sure, possibly 2 on Friday Sept 27th &/or Saturday Sept 28, 2019.  Please let KAT know if you can help out.   

KAT overbought for the Patronal Day Celebration.  All purchased from COSTCO. Lovely full 4 cheese tray $15.  All FROZEN:  half package of Black Forest ham $8, Capocollo/Mortadello $8,  two Rosemary Ham $5 each.  Anything to help recoup the cost would be greatly appreciated.  See Val or Elaine if interested this Sunday,  or KAT on office days.

LEATHER ROCKER RECLINER needed!  Looking to downsize?  KAT is looking for one in great condition for her mom.  It is a requirement of the furniture for long-term care. Will pay of course.

Community Dinner coming this Monday, August 19th – Delicious pulled pork and all the fixings. Please consider helping out and sign up in the hall on Sunday. 

We really need some people to step up and help out in the following ways (training provided!):

1.      Altar Guild is short a person or two. If you would enjoy a meditative practice of setting up the altar for communion on Sunday, and can spare an hour or two once a month, this is a rewarding way of serving your community and God. Please speak to Marrianna or Selinde if you are interested. 

2.      Assistant to the Treasurer: Jennifer Birchall-Creighton lives in Mexico during the winter months so we need to find someone to help out in her absence. She will be keeping track and providing oversight via the internet but someone here in Nanoose would be helpful. Please speak to Jennifer or Selinde if you can help out.
