The Northwest Bay Probus is for semi-retired and retired people who appreciate opportunities to meet people who share many of their interests. We meet the first Friday of every month (except August and December) from 9:15 a.m. to 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church Hall. We invite speakers to give us a talk each month on topics ranging from art fraud to travelling the world. Always interesting!
The reason to join a Probus Club is socialize in different settings. Our club has a number of small “Special Interest Groups” such as: restaurant group, wine clubs, whiskey club, hiking, discussion group, book clubs and golfing groups. New clubs form all the time. Please bring your ideas!
We have also arranged day-trips such as: “Sail to the Symphony,” theatre events at the Bailey or Chemainus Theatres, museum tours, or a particular favourite, Dim Sum to celebrate Chinese New Year. We have also arranged a variety of multi-day trips including a wine tour of the Okanagan, a three-day trip on the MV Uchuck III, and a trip to Haida Gwaii.
