Tumaini Fund Canada helps AIDS orphans and desperately poor families in Kagera, Tanzania by sending aid for education, medical care, housing and clean water. Crafters in the area meet in St. Mary’s Church hall on the third Wednesday afternoon of most months from 1 to 3 pm.
The main focus has been sewing and packing Personal Care Kits for girls so that they don’t miss days at school each month. To date 1866 Kits have been sewn, assembled, and shipped overseas. Recycling of deposit fee bottles and cans has been set up at the back of the church property and the money raised is a considerable help.
